The East is one of the most popular locations to buy property in Singapore.
Imagine getting a house which is savvy, investment worthy and relaxing? Jurong West ?The only advantage there are the smogless days . Seng Kang and Punggol and "Enjoy" the congestion and the cost of living there?
It is always the love of my life and that is living in the East , and here’s why:
1. Public Transport
What makes the area LIVE? It's the Convenience! The Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) is a 43 kilometer long line, which should be completed in five stages from 2019 to 2024.
When The TEL is up, going to the beach will be a stroll in the park for the residents, a huge build-up of malls, with too many foods to make health a problem, and rapid access to the North-South line.
The TEL also means that the private condos in the Bayshore area will no longer be in Pulau whatever! The condos will get to enjoy best of both worlds, proximity to the beach and an MRT station right across the road.
2. The Rise of Bedok
The Government mega plans in These Districts include the opening of more polyclinics, a library, more retail and Gourmet options, parks and cycling routes. With Tampines already full of banks and shopping Mall, you don't have to leave the East for the rest of your life.
3. The Paya Lebar business hub Development
Paya Lebar, as we all know by 2030, we won't have noisy fighters roaming the skies anymore.
Paya Lebar will transform into a massive retail hub. With several office spaces in the area, home buyers might find themselves conveniently living near their workplace.
4. The Sky, Sand, Sea and the Greenery
Days when Katong Park overlooked the ocean no longer exist, and during those days, Katong Shopping Centre is the center of that area's attraction. Now The Bayshore area has the potential to house 12000 homes. From there you can look straight out at the ships in the waters.
5. Food Paradise
The Katong area was once the Head quarters for Peranakan families, is a food paradise. Numerous laksa battles were fought here.
Joo Chiat is especially famous for food, with its share of hipster cafes without the sleaze once she had.
